Born in London and raised in Croydon Paula started her musical career as a singer, but when at the age of 12 the opportunity came up to learn the Tuba she found her natural musical home. After quickly becoming a fixture on tuba with both the Croydon Schools band and the Youth Orchestra Paula later took up the Bass Trombone as well.
Staying in the area Paula regularly plays with the Croydon Symphonic Band, the London Gay Symphony Orchestra, the Women Of the World Orchestra, and many others. As both a professional and amateur She has played in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Spain and the Channel Islands as well as some of the most prestigious concert halls in the UK.
After many years playing and competing with Croydon Brass Paula took over the baton in 2010 and conducted the centenary series of concerts. As well as being our Musical Director Paula is also currently the associate conductor of the All Saints Concert Band
